I'm sorry, but this looks like a use-ability nightmare, you should consider making the fonts in the windows and taskbar readable. Also your maximize button doesn't blend in with the rest, if you're recoloring diamond's version you shouldn't use any others. And lastly you should pick more eye-pleasant colors.

I actually worked on making the maximize/minimize/close buttons all cool-colored and different. That was on purpose.
Also, I redesigned all the elements with that red/black color scheme in mind, and it was hard to keep the colors consistent, but I was pleased with how they came out in the end.
And as for the font in the taskbar, it's a special font I found called "Sith Prohecy", and I used it on purpose, too. Don't worry though; it changes to regular readable text on mouseover and highlight, so it is readable in those instances.

...So, it's sad that you think the parts I did on purpose look like a big mess. It was my first try doing anything WindowBlinds, though, so I suppose it's understandable. However, the only flaw I am aware of if the fact that the download apparently doesn't work. I'll try to fix it.

Schade, aus Windows Vista wird definitiv kein Schwan mehr... ich probiere es wohl selbst noch mal.

I believe he was also refering to the fact that you can't read the labels fro the Icons in the window. The font for then is black, on a black backround... not a smart idea...

Make that font a more readable one and it'll improve the usability of this skin by a decent margin.

For a first try it's not terrible, however changing the font colors to make them actually able to be read would be a big help.

Personally I'm not a fan of the idea that the font on the taskbars is not a readable one either... I prefer to be able to, at a glance, see what is in that window without having to bring it up to find out. Yes, as you stated, it may change on mouse over but it is a big negative in the usability department.

some advice I can give is, filter the windowblinds sections by favorite, and all time, and see what the those skins look like. Then take a look at your skin and see if you can improve it based on what is considered by the masses as "good".

All in all, like I said not a horrible first skin. Just keep at it and take all critiques to heart.
