Naked in the Dark is a poem I wrote, then recreated in Flash.

~*~

Telling me all I wished to hear,
A pale light’s voice spoke in music to my ear
And the warmth of the Sun gazed down on man
As he looked eastward towards the dawn

Light faltered as it climbed into noon,
The phase in every meeting of sun and moon
An eclipse of this world saw itself in a mirror;
The silver surface of blue night’s tears

Calling out to the sea, I watched
As inside the lazuli orb the force hatched
As great an age of this awakening world
The Universe had ever heard

The flourishing of life, seen from afar
Was beautiful as the rebirth of the stars
And I saw it rise and fall in stages
Billions of lives passing in and out of the ages

It added brightness to the cosmos’ light,
And held dark the eternal night
Until slowly, it sailed down to rest upon itself,
And the light of the greatest world was put out

Then majestic souls of ancient Earth spread
Over the vast blackness of the dead,
And into the chasms of space and time
They sang out in endless, unfinished rhyme:

We are naked in the dark…

*jaw drop* You know, just looking at the poem, I would have said, "Gee, good poem", but now, the music and the flash movie just put so much emphasis on the right places, I am amazed.
It could totally be a vid. ad XD

the music fit the poem perfectly

Lovely animation, and I loved the ending of the poem, it seemed so...haunting.
